Krista Lee & Joe :: The Wedding

Going down in history as one of the most exciting weddings I’ve attended… Krista Lee and Joe’s Wedding was one that will be hard to forget!  The day was filled with laughter and love… a whole lot of love.  Family and friends surrounded Krista Lee and Joe from morning until night, and it was evident that they are one lucky couple.  Because we focus so much on the commitment that is made between the bride and the groom on their wedding day… we tend to not realize all the important people in the room that love this couple so much.  I can honestly say that Krista Lee and Joe have some amazing people by their sides… and this made the day that much more special.

Krista Lee and Joe… thank you so much for allowing me to take part in your special day.  I am so excited to share some of my favorite photos from the day!

Classic!

This was one of the sweetest moments between KristaLee and her mother…

Imaginable jump rope… you saw it here first. ha!

Kimberly & Michael :: Engaged & In Love

Michael had it all planned out… the perfect proposal… he’d had the ring picked out, dinner reservations down on the Hudson River… but mother nature had a different plan.  Hurricane Irene hit that evening, so Michael… with his quick thinking, changed plans… cooked a nice dinner at home and proposed to Kimberly that evening.   Life sometimes has a way of pulling apart our plans, but destiny always finds a way for the most meaningful things in life to stay the same.

I am always so thrilled to meet new clients, especially new clients who just happen to be aa-mazing.  Kimberly and Michael are the type of clients that need little direction and that just truly enjoy the small intimate moments they get with one another.  The love that they have for each other is evident in every one of these photos.

Kimberly and Michael… I cannot wait for your wedding this summer… enjoy some of my favs from the shoot!

Probably my third shot out of the camera… ummm helloooo Kimberly… work it out girl!

Absolute favorite! gahhh

What Have You Set Out To Do :: theFix

There is nothing more exciting then connecting with a group of local photographers in your area all under the same roof.  I attended theFix Atlanta on Monday night and out of all the things that I learned, I believe the one thing that has stuck in my mind is the question:  What Have You Set Out To Do?  Jasmine asked us that midway through the night, and it hit me… what have I specifically set out to do?  In my photography career, just this year, etc.  Where are my goals?  Insert theFix… and the amazing photographers that I met that night.  There are so many things running through my head that I’d like to impliment this year, but first and foremost, I am so excited to invest in relationships with other photographers in the area.

Fabulous takeaways from theFix:

*Change is good.

*Influential artists thrive on each other.

*Find ways to work through our struggles that make sense.

*Surround ourselves with people you will help, and who will help us.

*Know what you want.

*Make friends.

*Professional is what you make of it.

*Break the mold by being you.

*What are you going to do tomorrow?

Gosha & Joe :: A Westmount Country Club Wedding

He saw her from a distance, and perhaps it was her smile, flair, or beautiful soul that made him look twice… Joe’s reaction after seeing Gosha for the first time on their wedding day made me melt.  It’s by far the most real moment of the day.  You’re with each of them throughout the morning and they seem for the most part to have it all together… but the moment they caught the first glance of one another, all that togetherness slipped away.  Because it’s in that moment that all the anticipation from the past year comes to fruition, and there they were,  embracing their forever.

Gosha & Joe’s wedding was my first of 2012 and it was so great to start the year off with such an amazing couple!  It couldn’t have been a more perfect winter day and I was blown away by the Westmount Country Club.

Oh! And I must mention how phenomenal Gosha’s wedding dress was… so phenomenal it would make almost any girl jealous.

Gosha & Joe… thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture the most important day of your lives.  I am beyond honored and thrilled to show some of my favorites from the day… enjoy!

Gosha & Joe opted for a First Look before their ceremony.  I always love when couples decide to do a First Look.  I think it’s the most intimate part of the day… a chance where they can hold one another and just take in the moment.

I just LOVE the emotion behind these next few…

One of my favs from the day!

Favorite of the day!  Love love love everything about this photo!

This is what I love for other brides to see… even with a First Look, it never takes away the emotion from seeing your husband-to-be at the end of the aisle…

The first glance at their aaa-mazing reception decor… I was blown away by Westmount Country Club!

2011 in the Making :: Favorites

2011 was my growing year.  When I first started over two years ago in the wedding industry, I was uncertain… I would go to weddings thinking I wish, I hope, I need.  When 2011 rolled around I decided it was a mindset I had to change… I can.  This past year was by far one of the most rewarding years for me in my business.  I feel like I’ve come full circle in so many areas and I cannot wait to kick off my 2012 wedding season in two weeks!

And so we don’t forget how amazing my 2011 Brides were… here are some of my favorites…
