Emily & Seth :: Engaged & In Love

Emily lived in Los Angeles when she met Seth for the first time… they’d known of each other through mutual friends, but the distance never brought them together.  It wasn’t until fall of 2011 when Seth and Emily finally connected… through Facebook that is.  They spent some time over the phone getting to know each other before Emily made a trip out to the east coast to visit one of her best friends… they thought what better idea then to visit Atlanta.  And looking back, there wasn’t a better idea.  Emily & Seth met that evening in Atlanta and they completely hit it off.  They spent the next several months traveling back and forth from LA to Atlanta.. almost twice a month!

Emily had always known her next step was Law School… and just as fate does, it stepped in.  She was accepted to Emory Law (go girl!) and took the plunge, packed up, and counted it as a sign… Atlanta bound.  Since Emily’s move to Atlanta, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know her and really seeing how truly in love these two are.  I mean really, just look at the photos below!  It’s written all over their faces!  And I absolutely love it!  We spent the afternoon at Serenbe, and I fell in love with the property.  Not to mention how gorgeous it is in the fall!

Emily and Seth, it was so much fun documenting just a small part of your love story… and to think the photos could get any cuter than these… I cannot wait for your wedding day in the spring!!

Oh hello Serenbe… you take my breath away!

I love this shot of your Emily… so perfectly natural.. stunning.

What did I tell you?  Cutest ever.

And then I nearly died… ya’ll my love for horses… you don’t even know.  Love this shot!

Ahh the light!

And then it was time for some fun in the little town of Serenbe… sweets included!

I love this shot… thank you to the man who let us use his front steps!

And then came the Wildflower Meadow… and though it wasn’t in bloom, we still made good use of the spot!

And then another horse… and this one is the first I’ve ever met with blue eyes!

One of my favorites!

Amanda! I cannot thank you enough for capturing these moments so beautifully! We loved everything about that day (minus the horrible makeup crisis- haha). Thank you for making us feel so comfortable from the start! We could not ask for more gorgeous photos! xoxo

Aubrie :: Family Shoot

I met Aubrie for the first time a year ago on her first birthday… I went to school with Alexandra McTigue (check out her blog here!  http://thechristianblonde.com/ ) so I was super excited when she reached out to me to capture some photos for Aubrie’s first birthday.  Life seems to fly by… especially the years when your children are SO little… so I absolutely love Mamma’s who strap on their big girl pants, throw on some makeup and get their kids in front of the camera.  Allie is so good at documenting Aubrie and I was so honored to be there to shoot one more year down… they get so big, so fast!

Here’s some favorites from Aubrie’s Alice & Wonderland themed birthday!

Cailen & Derrick :: Engaged & In Love

I spent such a beautiful morning with Cailen & Derrick for their engagement shoot.  Sometimes, the first time I meet with a couple to shoot their engagement, many times I’m met with “I’m not good at this!”….”Just tell me how to pose!”.   You can tell they’re a bit nervous and rightfully so… they don’t know what to expect!  What I love the most, is that after a few shots… it’s like perfection…  I tell my brides, once you relax and can be in the moment… it will show on camera!  I absolutely love sunrise engagements and these two rocked it out.  Midway through the shoot, I had to stop and say… you two don’t even realize how great you are in front of the camera!  And of course, I was loving every minute of it!

Cailen and Derrick… I am SO excited to be a part of your day in September 2014!  Here’s some of my favorites from our shoot… enjoy!

I mean honestly… how cute are they?!

Love this one!

Julie & Bobby :: The Wedding

I’ve been looking forward to Julie & Bobby’s wedding day now for almost two years… I remember when she asked me to shoot their wedding,  I only wished it was sooner after we did their engagement session!  These two hold a special place in my heart and I am over the moon thrilled that I got to be a part of their day!

I headed out to the gorgeous Skaneateles, New York for the weekend and I couldn’t believe how unbelievably amazing the entire town was.  SO cute and quaint and the wedding reception at the Frog Pond Bed & Breakfast was tucked up in the rolling hills of Skaneateles.

We crossed our fingers all week for no rain… but sometimes, God has other plans.  The entire day was showered with lots of love… and rain!  But Julie & Bobby rolled with it and knew the most important thing about their day was well… the two of them.  And that’s really all that mattered.

Julie did am amazing job picking out so many of her reception details… I literally gasped as I walked into the barn, it was breathtaking filled with tons of blush pinks and golds.

Julie & Bobby, thank you so much for trusting me enough to come alongside this special day with the two of you and document your love story… I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

These two… simple notes to one another, how cute are they?!

Oh Julie, you’re just stunning…

Grandma!  Loved this sweet moment when the WHOLE bridal party visited Julie’s Grandma because she couldn’t make it to the wedding!

Cuties

Oh haaayyy you two… love it!Work .it. out. ladies!

Elyse & Jarred :: The Wedding

As the wedding season starts to slow down a bit… I can’t help but be caught up in the beautiful weather that fall brings!  I had the pleasure of shooting Elyse & Jarred’s Wedding at the Bath & Tennis Club in Spring Lake, New Jersey.  This was my first time shooting at this venue, so it’s always a nice change of scenery and a fun challenge to figure out the best spots to shoot!

Their whole day was filled with their closest friends and family and I just soaked in the feeling of these two High School Sweethearts… yes, you heard that right… High School!  I just absolutely love stories like theirs.  And to watch Elyse walk down the aisle, and how their relationship has come full circle… it’s such a blessing to be a part of.

Elyse and Jarred, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day… I loved every minute of it!

I absolutely love when clients opt for a First Look… I mean look at the excitement!

Ohhh the light!  I love it!
