Allison & Aaron :: Engaged & In Love

I met Aaron and Allison for the first time the day Aaron proposed to Allison a few months ago.  Aaron got in contact with me through a mutual friend and I was so impressed by all the thought that he put into his proposal!  Shooting surprise proposals may actually be one of my favorite things to capture.

These two are the absolute sweetest and are so in love with one another that it makes photographing them so easy and natural.  And they even brought along their pup Doak who almost stole the show!  Allison & Aaron, thank you for allowing me to capture the love that you have for one another… I can’t wait for your wedding in the spring!

Below are some of my favorites from our engagement session up at the beautiful Berry College, in Rome, Georgia.  Enjoy!

Alison & Dave :: Engaged & In Love

Happy Monday!  I’m so excited to finally share this engagement shoot that I shot two weeks ago… September has been the craziest month ever here in the Gordon household but these two make this Monday an awesome one!

I met Alison & Dave through a good friend of mine in New Jersey.  When my friends reach out to ask about shooting their family members weddings, it’s the biggest compliment I can receive!  On the same note, it makes me a little nervous, because I want their photos to be everything that they dream of!

The best part about Alison & Dave is that they don’t take each other too seriously!  You can see in their first shot of the morning… they couldn’t help but to laugh at each other!  Please note… the 2nd shot… killed it.  Just sayin!:)

I’m so excited to shoot Alison & Dave’s wedding in late October, I just love fall weddings!  Until then… enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement shoot…

Anne & Alex :: Engaged & In Love

There is no bigger compliment that I can receive then when I have a bride reach out to me and tell me after being a part of another wedding I shot, she couldn’t think of anyone else that she’d want to shoot her wedding.  I met Anne in Mexico while shooting Tiffany & Chris’ wedding in October of 2012.  She was a guest at their wedding and it was so great to meet all of their new friends for a weekend destination wedding!

When Anne reached our to me to inquire about their wedding day, I was thrilled!  We setup a date to meet over coffee at Starbucks.  If ya’ll don’t know yet, I am a Starbucks fanatic and it’s one thing that I love sharing with my couples:)  She told me all about their engagement and how Alex flew into Atlanta without Anne knowing and surprised her at the hospital that she works at posing as another Doctor in a “fake” operating room, mask and all!  I absolutely love hearing stories like this and love when men go out of their way to make it such a special moment to remember!

Alex is in the Air Force and is stationed in Florida, so this sweet couple has been dating long distance for quite some time now and I am so super excited that their wedding day is inching closer so they can (fingers crossed) be together for good!  Alex was in town this past weekend, so we scheduled our engagement shoot and what better time of year in Atlanta then when everything is blooming!  We spent our time at the Duck Pond in Buckhead, right in the center of Atlanta!  The Duck Pond holds a special place in my heart because well, this is my neighborhood@!  And I’ve always wanted to shoot an engagement in the spring time here and boy did it not disappoint!

Anne & Alex, I cannot wait until your fall wedding!!  Enjoy just a few of my favs from the shoot…

Emily & Seth :: Engaged & In Love

Emily lived in Los Angeles when she met Seth for the first time… they’d known of each other through mutual friends, but the distance never brought them together.  It wasn’t until fall of 2011 when Seth and Emily finally connected… through Facebook that is.  They spent some time over the phone getting to know each other before Emily made a trip out to the east coast to visit one of her best friends… they thought what better idea then to visit Atlanta.  And looking back, there wasn’t a better idea.  Emily & Seth met that evening in Atlanta and they completely hit it off.  They spent the next several months traveling back and forth from LA to Atlanta.. almost twice a month!

Emily had always known her next step was Law School… and just as fate does, it stepped in.  She was accepted to Emory Law (go girl!) and took the plunge, packed up, and counted it as a sign… Atlanta bound.  Since Emily’s move to Atlanta, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know her and really seeing how truly in love these two are.  I mean really, just look at the photos below!  It’s written all over their faces!  And I absolutely love it!  We spent the afternoon at Serenbe, and I fell in love with the property.  Not to mention how gorgeous it is in the fall!

Emily and Seth, it was so much fun documenting just a small part of your love story… and to think the photos could get any cuter than these… I cannot wait for your wedding day in the spring!!

Oh hello Serenbe… you take my breath away!

I love this shot of your Emily… so perfectly natural.. stunning.

What did I tell you?  Cutest ever.

And then I nearly died… ya’ll my love for horses… you don’t even know.  Love this shot!

Ahh the light!

And then it was time for some fun in the little town of Serenbe… sweets included!

I love this shot… thank you to the man who let us use his front steps!

And then came the Wildflower Meadow… and though it wasn’t in bloom, we still made good use of the spot!

And then another horse… and this one is the first I’ve ever met with blue eyes!

One of my favorites!

Amanda! I cannot thank you enough for capturing these moments so beautifully! We loved everything about that day (minus the horrible makeup crisis- haha). Thank you for making us feel so comfortable from the start! We could not ask for more gorgeous photos! xoxo
